Dear Sir,
We hear often enough about negative encounters with police officers while driving. Here is a positive story. This past week one-way signs went up in San Antonio. On Friday, January 15, I was stopped by a police officer for driving the wrong way on a one way street into San Antonio Tlayacapan. My first thought was, Oh, no, what will happen now?
As it turns out, my concern was unfounded.
The officer politely asked for my driver’s licence and proof of legal entry to Mexico of our car, explained the change to one-way streets in San Antonio (in Spanish), and gave me a warning. His manner was totally professional and polite and I was treated fairly.
It would be helpful for other drivers if you were to publish the one way street changes in San Antonio so they can avoid being ticketed once the warning period is over.
