The Chivas of Guadalajara will play the current European and Spanish soccer champions Barcelona as part of their preseason, on August 8 in San Francisco.
The Catalan giant is playing a series of exhibition games in the United States to market the club and to prepare for the upcoming season.
Last time the teams met Barcelona came out clear 5-2 winners in August 2008 in Chicago.
Chivas are also due to travel to Europe next month to play three exhibition game – two in Holland and one in Germany.
The popular Guadalajara team is looking for a strong preseason to kickstart the Clausura 2009 campaign, after a disappointing last 12 months.
