Roberta Rehn, 68, librarian for 29 years at the American School of Guadalajara, indefatigable vestry and altar guild member at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Guadalajara and artist, died peacefully January 20 in Guadalajara after an eight-month battle with cancer.

Former bullfighter Patricia Hayes Franklin died January 14 at an Odessa, Texas hospice.

Martin “Marty” William Flesh died on January 16, aged 86.

Longtime Lakeside resident Arthur Melby died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 10 at the age of 92.

Kenneth Alan Hertz of Ixtlahuacan died unexpectedly on December 23 at the age of 54.

Richard Alan Slater died on January 2 in a Lakeside rest home from cardiopulmonary failure and complications of diabetes. He was 69. He expired peacefully with caring friends and dedicated caregivers close to his bedside in his final hours.

Ajijic resident Bonnie Silverstein died on December 27 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 66.
