A Canadian couple from Quebec were taken to hospital Tuesday after being shot in the Pacific coast town of Ixtapa, Guerrero.
The couple resisted when armed men attempted to rob them while they were cycling in the hotel zone of the town, according to the CBC. Chislain Lazure, 50, was shot in the abdomen, while Jazquez Chanive, 45, received less serious injuries. Both are thought to be stable.
