Canadian cities occupy three of the top ten spots in a survey ranking the liveability of 140 of the world’s major centers. Vancouver ranks top in the world in the Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2009 Liveability survey. Toronto is in fourth place, while Calgary is in joint fifth along with Perth, Australia. Montreal finished in 17th place. The top U.S. city is Pittsburgh in 29th place. The worst city to live is Harare, Zimbabwe.
