Educator and cultural and environmental activist Rose Lee Patron is a former school administrator from Fresno, California and now the owner of a language school in the community of Santa Cruz in the municipality of San Blas, Nayarit. Though confined to a wheelchair, she continues to make a valuable contribution to a village whose heritage she wishes to share with the local population and the rest of the world. In this interview, Patron tells Julie Shattock about her love for the area and her desire to build a museum in her community.

oh, i forgot to mention that since the article was written a generous donor has lent us the use of a building perfect for the museum! we need now to clean, fix, and paint it to get it ready for use! Wishes and dreams do come true if you wish hard enough!
