Back in her mountainous Huichol village of Lugar del Sol, Nayarit, 10-year-old Norma lives in a small adobe home with her aunt and grandma. Like many other indigenous communities in Mexico, the habitat is isolated and inhospitable. In fact, the land surrounding her home is so arid not even cattle can be kept there.
