Dear Sir,

Last Friday, September 5, I had the misfortune to have my stationary car reversed into by a small truck in the Super Lake car park.

The driver, a young Mexican man, was very polite and apologetic and suggested we go to a local body shop immediately, for repairs, at his expense, which we did. They suggested that I take the car in at 9 a.m. the next day. They did a splendid job in six hours.

I wish to commend this young man, Eliseo Olivares, for his action in attending to this problem. So many horror stories make the news that I thought it would be refreshing for your readers to hear of this incident, which, though inconvenient, was actually a pleasant experience.

Robert Owen, Ajijic

Editor’s note: While we also commend the actions of Mr. Olivares and are happy that the situation was resolved amicably, we remind readers that insurance companies and traffic police can often be the best protection in the case of an accident – especially if it is a serious one.
