Free walking tours of downtown Guadalajara, complete with an English-speaking guide, are being offered by city hall’s tourism department each Wednesday morning through August 15.

The tour takes around two hours and takes in the Plaza de Armas, Palacio de Gobierno, Cathedral, Rotunda of Illustrious Jalisco citizens, Plaza de la Liberacion, Degollado Theater, Plaza de los Fundadores, Plaza Tapatia and the Cabañas Cultural Institute.

The tours start promptly at 9:30 a.m. from the bandstand in the Plaza de Armas. For more information, call Noemi Garcia in the Guadalajara tourism office at (33) 3668-1607.
