Di Paola Gallery welcomes artists, radio

When Maria Di Paola Blum cuts the ribbon on an exhibition opening at her Galeria Di Paola Friday, July 5 at 5 p.m., it will be recorded for the first time with a live Internet radio broadcast by Pixelazos.com.

Photographer and gallery owner Maria Di Paola has been a popular guest on Sergio Garibay’s “La Caja Magica” show on Radio Jalisco. Now, Pixelazos.com will stream the opening of an exhibition at her Ajijic gallery July 5 for broadcast on the Internet.

Pixelazos contacted Di Paola when they got wind of the exhibition that will show the works of 21 promising painters from the state of Zacatecas and photographer Pedro Valtierra. Producers will interview the artists live for rebroadcast in the evening about 9 p.m. and they will be heard by folks all over the world who care to tune in.

The exhibition, labeled “Los Fresnillenses,” (those from Fresnillo), is being sponsored by Di Paola and the photography magazine, “Cuartoscuro” and will feature works by Alejandra Morales, Antonio Martinez, Carlos A. Sanchez, David Vega, Gabriel Avila, Javier Barrientos, Jose de la Torre, Jose Medina, Omar Lemos, Rogelio Aguila, Antonio Amaro, Brando E. Fernandez, David Banuelos, Enrique Barajas Pro, Ivan Medrano, Jorge Saldana Lopez, Jose Manuel Salas, Miguel Perez, Paula Santana Garcia, Gaspar Flores Zapata and Ricardo Ortega Roman.

The materiel and the styles range from abstract and contemporary to highly figurative and will remain in place from the July 5 opening to August 25.
