Graham Worley, 77,  died June 6 after a courageous fight with a rare cancer.

WorleyAfter retirement, Worley and his wife spent a few winters in San Miguel de Allende before moving to Lakeside. The couple have lived in the area for 12 years.

Active in the local writers group, his stories were published in Ojo de Lago and the Lake Chapala Review. One of his favorite pastimes was hiking in the mountains above Ajijic.  As a younger man, Worley used to enjoy running marathons.

Worley died peacefully in the presence of his family, including his dog Bella, and accompanied by a musical therapist playing the classical guitar.

A private family service and cremation was held at St. James-the-Less Chapel in Cabbagetown on June 10.
