One of the most eminent Polish pianists and music professors, Piotr
Paleczny (left) has appeared with the likes of the Chicago Symphony,
American Symphony and Royal Philharmonic.
He has played notable venues such as Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall in New York, the Royal Festival Hall in London and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. He has been invited to perform and judge at numerous international music festivals, held master classes around the world and made dozens of recordings. Two of his Chopin CD’s have achieved “gold” status.
Since 1993, Paleczny has been the artistic director of the oldest music festival held in Poland and probably the oldest existing international piano festival in the world: the International Frederick Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki Zdroj.
Music fans have the chance to see Paleczny perform Chopin’s “Concert for Piano and Orchestra No. I” at the opening concerts of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra summer season, held at the Teatro Degollado in Guadalajara on Friday, June 13, 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, June 15, 12:30 p.m. Tickets 120-240 pesos.
