Suzanne Barker, mother of Dylan Barker, who lived at Lakeside for a time (and worked with Lakeside Little Theatre), sends this letter to the community: “After 18 months of hard work and determination, my son, Dylan Barker, will be graduating from Lakeview High School in Chicago, Illinois on June 6. It is for this reason that I want to acknowledge the generosity and kindness of the many wonderful and thoughtful people from the Lakeside Little Theatre and this community who have given Dylan their love and support for the last year and a half. It is because of all of you, as well as the gracious and caring family that has taken my son into their home, their hearts and their lives there in Chicago, that Dylan has successfully achieved his goal with a wonderful sense of personal pride and accomplishment. Dylan will be attending Columbia College in Chicago in the fall. Thank you all so much for helping to make his dream a reality.Gratefully yours, Suzanne Barker." |
