Dear Sir,

I am so tired of reading letters from ignorant people suggesting the Canadian people are banding together to boycott Mexico.

I am frankly embarrassed by the ignorance of some of my countrymen.  I don’t know anyone who has decided to boycott Mexico.  I keep reading headlines suggesting that most Canadians assume that Brenda Martin was innocent.  While most people I know are sympathetic, they don’t blame the Mexican people for her ordeal.  The Mexican people have to live with the judicial system as well and want to see changes.  I admit, my friends tend to be well-traveled and know you would have to boycott many countries if you held them to Canadian standards. For you Canadians who make statements on behalf of your Countrymen: speak for yourself.
