Longtime Lakeside resident Lore Kettler died March 31 in North Platte, Nebraska. She was 81. Born in Germany, she moved to the United States as a war bride shortly after World War II. Kettler first moved to Ajijic in 1964 and lived in the area until 1976, then returned in 1981 and stayed until 1997, spending many winters here since that time. She loved Mexico and her many friends in the area. They, in turn, will surely miss her. Kettler is survived by her sister, two nieces and one nephew, all of North Platte.
