Avocado Stones Bring Health Benefits |

The Civil Hospital in Guadalajara is about to start a new study into the health properties of avocado stones.
Research has shown that eating avocados regularly can reduce the risk of heart attack by as much as 10 to 20 percent. This is because the fat of avocados is the good type that protects arteries. The avocado stone contains polyphenol, an enzyme that is 100 times more effective than vitamin C and 25 times stronger than vitamin E. Polyphenol occurs naturally in green tea, which is believed to have a protective effect against some forms of cancer. The anti-oxidants in avocado stones means that they can be placed in bowls of guacamole to prevent browning. |
