Mexico participated with samples of 39 wines and 13 spirits. Vintages at the competition were blind-tasted and assessed by a panel of 220 renowned oenologists, sommeliers and journalists, then awarded medals based on their point averages. Concours Mondial medals are invaluable quality control marks and can help guide relative newcomers to the world of Mexican wines.
