Dear Sir,
Who is advising President Bush that he could come back from meeting in Mexico with President Fox and step right into cow pie? At the "welcome home" bash at President Bush's Dallas ranch on Saturday, organizers arranged for Ted Nugent's music to be on tap. Surely not the same Ted Nugent who was just denied the key to the city of Omaha, Neb., when the mayor discovered that Nugent likes to boast of soiling his pants for three days before appearing before the draft board, seeking a deferment? The Ted Nugent who refers to Mexicans and other foreigners as "scum" and "asses" he doesn't want to find "pumpin' my gas," or "selling me doughnuts"? The Ted Nugent who called Barbara Bush a "bitch," and other women of note "sluts"? The man who goes to white South Africa to trophy hunt and who replays the scenes on his videos where the animals scream when shot because he "loves those parts"? Our president must uphold free speech, but if he'd known of Nugent's vile remarks about his mother, his in-laws, animals, the police officers shot at the Capitol, and others, he might have personally evicted this purveyor of unmitigated violence and hate speech.
