Dear Sir, We want to extend our heart-felt thanks to Merry Barrickman who wrote
such a wonderful coverage of our wedding. We realize she had to
shuffle her busy schedule to attend some of our pre-wedding events and
want her to know it was greatly appreciated.
We would appreciate your permission to add a few thanks and
recognitions of our own that could not be incorporated into Merry's
article. To Sandra Loridans who gave so much of her valuable time and
work to make the reception held at her mountain home an elegant and
"fairy-tale" event. The beautifully decorated box favors on the guest
tables filled with candy kisses were created by Shirley Mayfield and
made by the staff of Southern Touch. Good ol' boy Grady Allen, owner
of the 1929 Ford, who decorated the car and drove us to the reception.
The hosts who so graciously opened their homes to accommodate our many
out of town guests. Janet Bergeson who designed and made the adorable
dancing tennis shoes that helped keep the bride from breaking an
ankle. Jack Worthington for lending his expertise in professional
photography for the affair. Diana of "Diana de Italia" on the
outstanding dinner and decorations for the rehearsal dinner serving 48
people. Don Diego for preparing chili for our group during his hectic
schedule and before winning the Mexican chili title. American Legion
Post Seven kitchen manager Leo Brandon, and chef Raul, for preparing
an enormous brunch buffet for our group on Saturday, their day off!
Due to the serious illness of our dearest friend, Lee Oltman, Barbara
Craig-Paul (guest from Ontario, Canada) joined Laurie Shaw at the
guest book. And a special note, candle lighter Lisa Morales from Bay
City, Texas, is the baby sister of the bride.
Thank you to all of our many friends who attended and shared our very
special time. It was a glorious day!
Jeanie and Leon Peine,
Ajijic
