Dear Sir,
I would like to comment on the recent front-page story by Dale Hoyt Palfrey, "Propane pirates on the loose at Lakeside." I must say that the story reads like an advertisement for Zeta Gas Licuado. I have been buying propane from Gas Los Altos for months and I am quite satisfied with their service. Often, the driver has come when I had no need of refilling, but I simply told him that I would call – which I did. And the price is always discounted because I am a regular customer. The most important thing for customers to do was not even mentioned in Ms. Palfrey's article: Check the meter reading on the truck both before and after the delivery. The meter should be zeroed out before delivery. As a matter of fact, written instructions on the truck and on the paperwork admonish the customer to do this. Donald Williams, Riberas del Pilar |
