Dear Sir,
I look forward to reading your Laguna Chapalac column each week, but as a summer-only resident of Lakeside – I flee to Puerto Vallarta to escape your cold winters – I was very much taken aback by your rather vicious attack on summer visitors. The columnist is obviously and understandably extremely angry about the overhead conversation she reported. But by saying that the crowd of "folks drifting into our midst at this time of year … seems to sport more than its share of the walking wounded," too many of whom don't bathe and actually stink, she seems to imply that only those who live here during the winter are nice, clean and worthy people. I hope she really didn't mean that. Ken Crosby, San Antonio Tlayacapan |
