Dear Sir,
With so much negative criticism directed at the illegal immigrants in the Untied States, I would like to add some positive comments. Recently, I was in New Orleans and remnants of Katrina are still very evident. However, the city and adjoining parishes were on the road back. Everyone I spoke with told me that if it were not for the illegal Mexicans, their homes would not have been rebuilt. They worked from sunup to sundown and did terrific jobs. On a humorous note, like Mexico, trucks selling tacos go into various neighborhoods where there are workers. The New Orleans Board of Health tried to shut them down but the local population told them to "leave these people alone." Patricia Dunn |
