Before leaving Lakeside, I read with interest and dismay the feature article by Alex Gesheva regarding the AMA's cancellation of its program with Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. Here in Canada we also have a severe shortage of family doctors and specialists, rural areas being the most affected. Possibly UAG might consider contacting the Canadian Medical Association and/or the Ontario Medical Association with a view to their picking up the program that the U.S. has now dropped.
