For weeks there have been surveyors on the main highway from San Antonio on past Rancho del Oro. Are there plans to widen the highway through the village?

"Do you want to go to the Passion procession this morning of Good Friday?" asked my host. Eager to see a locally enacted ritual during my visit to Ajijic, my host and I drove to the center of town, and we joined the throngs of people gathered to witness this annual ritual that would culminate on Easter morning.

As David Suzuki once said, we are driving 150 mph into a concrete wall, yet we're arguing who gets to sit in the front. I find it disturbing that Vallarta and Guadalajara havethis amazing climate with so much sun, yet I can't breathe clean air.
