The announcement is enough to stymie even more advanced language students: responding to accusations that the telenovela title "Las Estupidas No Van al Cielo" (Stupid girls don't go to heaven) was aggressive and offensive, the Televisa network decided to clean up the soap's title for family viewing. The title will now be "Las Tontas No Van al Cielo." Yes, Spanish students, that's right: they're replacing the word estupida (as in stupid) with the word tonta (as in fool … or stupid).
