A revival of the ancient, but still spoken, tongue of the Aztecs is being initiated in Mexico City by the capital's mayor, Marcelo Ebrard. His government's development plan was presented last week in both Spanish and Nahuatl, with plans to give classes in Nahuatl to city officials, including the mayor and his cabinet. Some 300,000 booklets of Nahuatl instruction will distributed to public servants.
