As snowbirds head home and summer rains chase many indoors, it’s time to pick up a bucket of popcorn, put on some comfortable shoes and head out to the movies.

The UdeG’s Cine Foro is screening films with soundtracks composed by Ennio Morricone, whose May concert at the Teatro Degollado is rapidly approaching. Ten double tickets to the Morricone concert will be raffled off to those who attend. Films will be presented in their original language, with subtitles in Spanish, so those whose Spanish skills are not up to par may be confronted with a mix of Spanish, Italian and English.

Film Review: Juno

In the Best Film category at this year's Oscars, Jason Reitman's "Juno," a pseudo-indie comedy about a pregnant teenager, is a bit like a startlingly colorful blowfish in a pool of graceful sharks. The rest of the field consists of art film heavyweights about grim, lonely men struggling against nature or each other. "Juno" is reassuring, light and its title heroine is, comparatively speaking, a model of wholesome, if occasionally naive, sanity. And, brace yourself for the least surprising (or perhaps most, considering that this is the Oscars) plot spoiler of all – nobody dies.
