Jennifer, Michael and James Grom returned to Lakeside last week from their home in Pleasantville, New York, to continue their humanitarian project started after they visited this area for the first time in 2002.

Thanks to one man’s generosity, there is now a van in the Guadalajara-Lakeside area equipped to transport people confined to wheel chairs, so that, Carlos Aragon says, “they can enjoy this beautiful area and Guadalajara more than ever.”

Members of Rotary Ajijic, the San Clemente California Rotary, Amigos del Lago and several erstwhile volunteers recently met a goal set several years – supplying 3,000 life vests to local fishermen and others who need them in their work.
