The May 10 scene is a familiar one. Members of the a local weekend band are endlessly playing "Las Mañanitas," a cluster of grown children, their wives and/or husbands, and several young grandchildren, surround an overjoyed woman, who is both beaming and crying, delighted to see her offspring, some of whom have traveled "home" from distant places. And, with unusual keen thoughtfulness, they have brought a sumptuous buffet of hot food, so Mama won't have to cook for a housefull of Mother's Day celebrants.

'The Arizona bark scorpion lives in the southwestern United States and Mexico.'
Patients who believe that medical treatment in the United States is superior to its Mexican counterpart are wrong on at least one count. Any victim bitten by the Arizona bark scorpion is still far safer in Mexico: Anascorp, currently most effective antivenin for scorpion stings, lacks FDA approval and is illegal outside of clinical trials in a limited number of Arizona hospitals.
