VIEWPOINT: License Plate Fiasco -- Who Really Pays

In its haste to ensure that the administration's logo appeared on all the new Jalisco license plates, the state government overlooked a critical point. The last two digits of the new plates were black on darkish blue, making them unreadable at a distance over 20 meters. Given that the major reason for having plates is that they are easily noted down in an emergency, this is a major error. In fact, it is a design flaw that a first-year graphic design student should have picked up.

The central event of the holiday we know as Christmas was the birth of Christ to a virgin mother. Everything else connected with Christmas relates to the Nativity- the appearance of the Wise Men, the search by Mary and Joseph for a place where Mary could give birth, the shepherds tending their flocks by night, the ox and the ass worshipping at the crib, etcetera.
