The probability that the energy reform bill will receive a speedy passage through Congress diminished after left-wing legislators stormed the podiums of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies and refused to budge.
The legislators are demanding a full public debate of the reforms, which they say would lead to the privatization of Pemex, the state-owned oil company.
