It may take a while for the forest to recover from Easter. Beginning last Friday at 11:30 a.m., authorities were forced to restrict access to the Bosque Primavera to save the national park from its many admirers. |

The Federal Commission of Electricity (CFE) is closing two of the 12 geothermal wells established in the natural protected area of the Bosque Primavera, a year and a half after the environmental secretariat Semarnat denied CFE further geothermal rights in the Primavera. |

 'Jalisco governor Emilio Gonzalez donated 90 million pesos of state funds to the construction of the massive Santuario de los Martires temple. On the same day, the "pilgrim governor" spent about 30 minutes walking along Talpa's historic pilgrimage route and promised an additional 90 million pesos to improve religious tourism infrastructure and services in the Talpa area. ' If generosity to the Catholic Church guarantees a spot in heaven, Jalisco governor Emilio Gonzalez is ready to sprout wings and a halo. Many Mexican politicans, on the other hand, are distinctly unimpressed with the governor's recent financial decisions. |
