Programa pro Niños Incapacitados del Lago vice president Averial Miller hosted a luncheon to thank Lillian Wefelmeyer for her years of service to that organization and others in this community.

The Asociacion Comunitaria Autosuficiencia (ACA) will hold a program devoted to understanding the “alive-ness” of increasingly valuable water on Saturday, September 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the organization’s Eco-training center about 3.5 kilometers west of San Juan Cosala.

As the string of festive events scheduled for the next 10 days stirs up patriotic fervor, a dress-up job underway downtown this week aims to inspire a more personal identification with the historical figures of Mexican independence.
