Jalisco sends its silver across the pond

Just in time for Latin America’s largest jewelry trade fair, Jalisco’s silver craftsmen were ready to shine, and boast strong European connections they hope will carry them through future economic downturns.
Jalisco’s jewelers export 80 percent of their silver works to Europe and Latin America, with exports to the United States lagging behind. So far, Spain, France, Italy and Russia are the state’s best customers.
