The New York Met Live in HD series continues at the Teatro Diana with Placido Domingo taking the baritone title role in Verdi’s political thriller “Simon Boccanegra.” Featuring James Levine on the podium, and Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani and James Morris in supporting roles.
Said the New York Times of Domingo’s performance: “As Boccanegra, he could not wait, it seemed, for the line to soar into the baritone’s high register, now his comfort zone.”
